Butterfly catcher

We stumbled on a group of these man-like creatures in the wastelands. They were grey, buried up to the neck in the sands. It's not clear how they got there. Either they went under the ground themselves due to the waiting period, or they were placed there against their will. The found creatures were behaving very aggressively, biting shoes, and making creepy noises. The young were having blindfolds over their eyes, and the old ones were having faded blindfolds that had been worn down and slipt of, exposing their atrophied eyes. It seems like while being underground they developed a luminescent sprout that they used to lure night insects. A few days later our expedition moved on, and the found creatures were named "Butterfly Catchers".
